Financial Literacy Games

Provides a list of games for kids to play to learn about various financial topics. These topics range from creating a budget, understanding tax refunds, figuring out what to do in financial emergencies, and saving for retirement. 


Altra Federal Credit Union

Cash Camp

Cost: Free

Provides a foundation for students ages 8 through 11 to attend a two day camp to learn about various financial topics. Show them that it's never too early to start learning about finances.




Coulee Bank

Money Island

Cost: Free

An online game where kids may enter a virtual world that not only makes learning fun, but also tracks and encourages their progress. As they go on quests to fantastic destinations like the Eiffel Tower and Atlantis, they learn real-life principles of financial responsibility. Real life prizes are awarded upon completion of Money Island. Parents also have access and can track their children's progress with the administrator tool.



La Crosse County UW Extension

Cost: Varies

Educates students about sound money management skills and the financial planning process.  Develop skills in teaching financial management to others. Increase financial knowledge and skill and empower individual families to manage financial resources. Of great assistance to high schoolers specifically.

Hands on Banking program is a self paced or instructor lead class for children through mature adults, entrepreneurship and military affairs.
