Offers free workshops and presentations providing financial education to those individuals who would like to become more knowledgeable on various financial topics. Altra also offers daily one-on-one sessions for those who would like to learn more about their personal finances and for those in need of credit counseling.
Rent Smart & Check Wise
Of particular use for college students for the Preparing for Living on Your Own program, which emphasizes skills to avoid legal confrontations, tenant and landlord responsibilities and relationships. Also can be of use for the Check Wise program for individuals who currently do not have a checking or savings account or would like to better manage their existing account with a financial institution.
The mission of It Make$ Cents! is to address the financial concerns of students that are unique to college life, and equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to integrate and maintain lifelong financial wellness. IMC! puts on a number of campus events and also offers one-on-one consultations with a peer mentor.
Provides workshops to students inside and outside the classroom. One-on-one FAFSA completion assistance. Assists individuals in understanding award letters, loans, and higher education program admissions processes. Connect individuals with financial aid counselors for individualized advising and training. One-on-one assistance to students in completing scholarship applications and essays.
Hands on Banking
Hands on Banking program is a self paced or instructor lead class for children through mature adults, entrepreneurship and military affairs.
Personal Finance/Financial Literacy program, Turnaround program for Displaced Homemakers, Dream Keepers Emergency Scholarship program.
